Description

Hunt from our deluxe outpost cabin. Cabin is equipped with all the amenities. One hunter with one guide in your outpost camp, electricity, shower, Polaris 6 wheeler to navigate to and from the sheep mountains. This is our best sheep hunt. Highest success and typically the largest rams are taken on the outpost camp hunts. We are the only outfitter in the area that has UTVs. It takes a week to drive them into the area once we have them flown into a large airstrip at the nearest village more than 100 miles away. Our use of the 6X6 UTV allows you to make the traverse to sheep country without burning your legs. Leaving you fresh for the stalk on the mountain. Success is higher and typically larger rams are taken on the outpost camp hunts. You will still have to climb and staying out in a spike tent for a night or 2 may be necessary. This is luxury sheep hunting! Hunting the same are since the early 1980's and the guides know the country intimately. Both Master guides are Commercial Pilots. One remains on call at the lodge with several in house aircraft (Piper Super Cubs to Cessnas). Guides all carry SAT Phones and are in communication with the lodge. Longtime guides and staff (most recently hired was in 2018) have been working for here for 6 years. Physical and mental preparation are key on a sheep hunt. With over 30 years experience these guides will help you to be successful as they cater to your needs. Shot opportunity is nearly 100% as you are hunting animals that are rarely disturbed by humans. Family hunts can be arranged.

Physical and mental preparation are key on such a demanding hunt. Alaskan hunts are tough. We have 90% opportunity to stalk trophy class animals. YOUR personal physical and mental preparation will be the determining factor in success. You do not need to go fast. You need to be steady. Keep placing one foot in front of the next, onward and upward, and know it will be tough. We have guided a 24 year old that was physically fit, he quit on day 2, and had a 72 year old hunter take a sheep, moose, and a caribou in 10 days. Be in the best possible physical and mental condition. Our guides will not run you into the ground or run off and leave you. That is not how we operate. We will hunt as hard as you are willing and physically able so long as it is safe. This is your hunt, we are there to help make it successful.

This is a extraordinary hunt when you take your time and put the work in.Gear is important. The right gear will help and the wrong gear can ruin you and destroy your hunt.
